Richfield, Utah - Fern DeMill Anderson, age 91, of Richfield and formerly of Gunnison, died April 9, 2007 in Richfield. She was born April 17, 1915 in Manti, Utah, a daughter of Edwin and Hannah Elsie Nielson DeMill. She married Veldon Harmel Anderson, December 6, 1948 in Provo, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple January 10, 1956. He died November 4, 2001. She attended Excel Beauty School and had her own Beauty Shop in Granger and Gunnison for many years and did hair until she was 75 years old. She loved crocheting and quilting and gave her handiwork away to everyone. She loved Indian Artifacts and collected Indian Dolls. She was a great cook and loved to cook and bake. Fern loved to ride snow mobiles and was riding them well into her 70's. She was a member of the LDS Church. Fern is survived by her children: Rodney and Kathy Anderson of Gunnison; Vickie and Bill Dalton of Richfield; step-daughters: Joan Phillips and Connie Burk, both of Salt Lake City; 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 1 sister and 2 brothers: Janet Jensen, Jerry and JaNeil DeMill, all of Centerville; Don and Vonelle DeMill of Salt Lake City. She was preceded in death by two daughters: Carol Ann Anderson and ValRee Anderson. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 13, 2007 at 12 Noon in the Springer Turner Funeral Home Chapel, 260 North 400 West in Richfield, where friends may call for viewing Friday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Aurora City Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison, Utah.
