Floyd L. Riddle

April 25, 1931 — November 30, 2009

Aurora, Utah - Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, Floyd LaVarro Riddle, age 78, died November 30, 2009 in Richfield, Utah. He was born April 25, 1931 in Escalante, Utah, a son of Floyd Edgar and Ronelda Marie Robinson Riddle. Floyd served in the US Air Force Strategic Air Command for twenty years as an Air Craft Maintenance Technician. He served during the Korean Conflict and the Viet Nam era. He married Geraldean Evans Moon, January 12, 1995. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple on December 17, 1998. Floyd loved to go to church and to the Temple. He was an active member of the LDS Church. He was a singer and a song writer and enjoyed composing music and singing. He had composed at least 300 to 400 songs and had them published in the east and over seas. He had his own band. He was working on at least 300 more songs at the time of his death. He loved the outdoors, rock hounding, searching for gold and visiting old ghost towns. Floyd is survived by his eternal companion, Geraldean of Aurora; his children: Randy Frayley, Danna Riddle and Timothy Riddle, all of Jacksonville, Arkansas; Michael and Melissa Riddle of Beebe, Arkansas; step-sons: Glen Scott and Teresa Moon of Kearns; Chuck and Debbie Moon of Herriman; Grant and LeAnn Moon of Bluffdale; 24 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; brother and sisters: Kirk Riddle of Jackson, Mississippi; Dianna and Clee Barney of Annabella; Marie and Frank Eddleman of Elsinore; Ronnie and Raymond Brinkerhoff of Tropic. He was preceded in death by a son, Keith Riddle; a step-son James Glen Moon; and 2 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 4, 2009 at 12 Noon in the Aurora 2nd LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home, 260 North 400 West in Richfield, Thursday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. or at the ward chapel in Aurora, Friday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 prior to the services. Burial with military honors accorded by the Salina American Legion Post #36 will be in the Richfield City Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
