Fonda Shaw Kennedy

Aurora, Utah - Our kind and beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Fonda Shaw Kennedy, age 85, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2015 at her home in Aurora. She was born August 10, 1929 in Aurora, a daughter of William Hartley and Mary Jeanette Shaw. She graduated from North Sevier High School. She married the love of her life, Evan Neil Kennedy, November 17, 1948 in Aurora. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple, July 20, 1957. She was an active member of the LDS Church, serving as the Young Womens Secretary, Relief Society Secretary and a Visiting Teacher. She enjoyed fishing, camping with her family, bowling, quilting and crocheting. She has always loved babies, especially her grandchildren. Since Evan retired, whenever you saw Fonda, you usually saw Evan. They were always together. She is survived by her loving husband, Evan, of Aurora; children: Jeanette and Newell Anderson of Gunnison; Sharon and DeVere Sudweeks of Aurora; Loretta and Steve Bagley of Huntington; Boyd and Nancy Kennedy of Aurora; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; sister: Roa and Wendell Mason of Aurora; sister-in-law: Mary Shaw of Salina. She was preceded in death by her parents: William H. and Mary J. Harding Shaw; parents-in-law: Earl and Ethel Oliver Kennedy; brothers and sisters: Utahna Ainsworth, Deon Taylor, Etha Hansen, Leo Shaw, Vern Shaw, Lois Jones, Carol Shaw, and Gail Shaw; brothers and sisters-in-law: Leone Murray, Verge Kennedy and Boyd Kennedy. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 29, 2015 at 12:00 Noon in the Aurora 1st LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call for viewing at the Aurora 1st Ward, Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. or Thursday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Aurora City Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
