Fred Draper Fremont, Utah/Salt Lake City, Utah - Fredrick Draper, age 86, of Salt Lake City, died suddenly on Father’s Day, June 15, 2003 at his summer cabin in Fremont, Utah. He was born October 18, 1917 in Fremont, a son of Raymond and Violet Albrecht Draper. He married Edith Carolyn Anderson, May 5, 1953 in Elko, Nevada. Fred was a veteran of World War II serving in the 141st Infantry Division. He was a member of the LDS Church and a member of the Operating Engineers, Local #3. He enjoyed golfing; hunting and fishing in his younger years. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Draper, of Salt Lake City, they celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversay last month; his son, Mitchell and Tammy Draper of Fremont; grandchildren: Jeffrey and Amber Draper, Michael Ray Draper and Jared Mitchell Draper, all of Fremont; Teresa Ann Draper of Monroe. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Violet Draper; a son, Wayne Draper; two sisters, Fern Moe and Phyllis Serrano; brother, Merrill Draper and a twin brother, Ray Draper. Graveside services will be held Thursday, June 19, 2003 at 12 Noon in the Spring City Cemetery in Spring City, Utah. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home, 260 North 400 West, in Richfield, Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. Burial with military honors will be in the Spring City Cemetery under the direction of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison, Utah.
