Fred E. Brown

November 20, 1934 — March 30, 2008

Salina, Utah - Our kind and beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, Frederick Edmond Brown, age 73,of Salina, died March 30, 2008 in Gunnison, Utah, after a valiant battle with cancer. He was born November 20, 1934 in Gardiner, Maine, a son of Lewis Albert and Evelyn Lessard Brown. Fred graduated from Gardiner Maine High School, Class of 1952. He served in the Marine Corp during the Korean War. He married Jacqueline White and they were later divorced. He married Sandra Bibbiani Johnson, July 6, 1984 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was an active member of the LDS Church. Fred loved fishing, hunting, rock hounding and enjoyed being in the outdoors and the beauty of Utah. He is survived by his wife, Sandy, of Salina; children: Mark and Bonnie Brown of Livermore, Maine; Jeffrey Brown of Wendover, Nevada; Keleigh Shumbo and Lisa Brown, both of Mansfield, Connecticut; Steven Brown of Middletown, Connecticut; step-son Eric Johnson of Boulder City, Nevada; step-daughter, Amy Zambrano of Sandy, Utah; 16 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; brothers and sister: Lewis and June Brown of Pittson, Maine; Genevieve Sparrow of Randolph, Maine; Kenneth and Sunday Brown of Boynton Beach, Florida. He was preceded in death by his father, Lewis Albert Brown; his mother, Evelyn Lessard Brown Beckwith and a granddaughter, Felicia Shumbo. Memorial services will be held Friday, April 4, 2008 at 12 Noon in the Salina 2nd LDS Ward Chapel, 85 South 100 East in Salina, where friends may visit with the family 30 minutes prior to the services. At his request, his remains have been cremated and burial will take place at a later date. Funeral Directors: Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison, Utah.
