Ganeen B. Wootton

Gunnison, Utah - Our kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt, Ganeen Sue Black Wootton, age 64, of Gunnison, passed away on Friday, September 23, 2016 in Gunnison. She was born May 7, 1952 in Salt Lake City, Utah a daughter of Orvil Earl and Norma Grace Ames Black. She married David Lee Wootton, October 25, 1988 in Salt Lake City. Ganeen was a member of the LDS Church. She enjoyed painting, cooking, working in her yards, being with her kids and grandkids. Ganeen is survived by her husband, David, of Gunnison; children: David Troy and Jessica Wootton of Manti; Tabatha Spring Varner of Salt Lake City, Brian and Jennifer Wootton of Evanston, Wyoming; Trudy Lynn Black of Gunnison; Zane and Andrea Wootton of Salt Lake City; Melody Anne and Torrey Leach of Caldwell, Idaho; Taynia Rayette Wootton of Myton; Kenneth Eugene and Andria Hold of Oregon; Jennifer Edwards of Salt Lake City; Carrie and Andrew Boren of Myton; Brandon Edwards of Salt Lake City; Kenny and Makayla Edwards of Salt Lake City; and Lee Wootton of Gunnison; 21 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sisters and brother: DeAnna and Kenneth Brown of Salt Lake City; Gloria; Christine Miller of Ely, Nevada; Lillian and Steve Richards of West Jordan; Nora Palmer of McGill, Nevada; Nancy Adkins of Mansfield, Ohio; Frank Palmer of Helper and Mary Palmer of Helper. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 30, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. in the Gunnison LDS Stake Center, 98 West Center in Gunnison, where friends may call for viewing Friday morning from 11:00 to 12:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Centerfield City Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
