Gary L. Jensen

Redmond, Utah - Our beloved “Gibb” was an exemplary husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend. Gary Lynn Jensen passed away August 16, 2007 in Provo, due to a local mining accident. He was born March 17, 1954 and was a long time resident of Redmond, Utah. He married his sweetheart, Lola Jean Lambertsen, on June 30, 1973 in Redmond, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple March 27, 1987. They have been married for 34 years. Gibb was involved in his church, community and work. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting. He had a great sense of humor and was always good for a laugh. He loved and was loved by dear friend across the state and country. He will be missed. Gibb is survived by his loving wife of Redmond; his mother, Beth LaRene Barker of Salina; his four children: Robert N. Jensen of Redmond, Amy and Jason Shelley of Salem, Dustin and Autumn Jensen of Cedar City; Hayley Jensen of Redmond; 3 grandchildren: Meagen, Jaden and Alissa Shelley of Salem; brothers and sisters: Neal and Connie Jensen of Santaquin; Vonnie and Jim Casto, Becky and Kent Olsen, all of Salina; Brian and Heather Barker of Caldwell, ID. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Carter Lynn Shelley and his grandmother, Vontess Jensen. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 22, 2007 at 12 Noon in the Salina LDS Stake Center, 98 West 400 North, where friends may call for viewing Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. or Wednesday morning from 10:00 to 11:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Redmond Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison, Utah.
