Gatha E. Larsen

Rock Springs, Wyoming/ Bicknell, Utah - Gatha Ellett Larsen, age 83, of Rock Springs, Wyoming and formerly of Bicknell, Utah, died Sunday, June 8, 2014 at Deseret Health and Rehab Center in Rock Springs. She was born April 19,1931 in Bicknell, Utah, a daughter of Charles Leland and Cleo Chasty Albrecht Ellett. She attended Wayne High School in Bicknell. She married Lowell Swan Larson October 11, 1947 in Fremont, Wayne County, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple on April 30,1966. Her husband preceded her in death December 3, 2009. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her interests were sewing, baking, and gardening. Survivors include her sons John Leland and Debbie Larsen, Lloyd Charles and Becky Larsen all of Lander; daughter Kathie McFarlane of Rock Springs; brothers Charles DeLoy and Dixie Ellett of Glenwood, Utah; Dwight and Lucia Ellett of Fremont, Utah; sister Bonnie and Roy Brown of Loa, Utah; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Leland and Cleo Ellett; her husband Lowell S. Larsen; two sons Douglas Lowell Larsen and Sheldon Kaye Larsen; two brothers, Arlo Thad Ellett, John Leon and Carol Ellett; a sister-in-law: Ramon Ellett; and a son-in-law: Nyle McFarlane. Funeral services will be held Thursday June 12, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. in the White Mountain LDS Ward Chapel, 3315 White Mountain Blvd. in Rock Springs, Wyoming where friends may call for viewing one hour prior to the services. Grave side services will be held Thursday, June 19, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. in the Bicknell Cemetery in Bicknell, Utah. Friends may call for viewing at the Thurber LDS Ward Chapel in Bicknell, Thursday morning from 11:30 to 12:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Bicknell Cemetery in Bicknell, Utah under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
