Gayle was born in Murray Utah on January 22, 1942, to Donald Adams Millet and Norma Burns Millet.

Gayle loved dearly her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren with all of her heart. She was famous for always sending birthday cards to all of them each year and being concerned for their well-being. She was outspoken, a great listener, gave great advice, and never held back her honest opinion. She was passionate about spending time with her family, cooking, gardening, and canning homegrown fruits and veggies.

Gayle was known for making beautiful quilts throughout the years and anyone who was on the receiving end couldn't wait to get their hands on them. She was an avid walker in nature and enjoyed hiking as well. She had many walking partners over the years including grandchildren and friends Jeanette Arnold and Diane Allen. She and her husband Kay enjoyed Classic Car Cruises together with the Oldsmobile Club. She was the president of the Salt Lake County Fireman’s Association Ladies Auxiliary and participated in their annual parade each year while she was a member.

Gayle has made many friends over the years and was loved by all that got to know her, some even called her Mom.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served many callings and was involved with The Genealogical Society's controlled extraction programs, formerly known as name extraction programs. She also worked diligently on her own Family Genealogy and put books together for each member of her family.

Gayle will be missed by so many lives that were touched by her love, compassion, and generosity.

Gayle is survived by her Husband Kay Merrill Curtis of 63 wonderful years. Her children Verl Curtis, Leah and (Danny) Clegg, Paula Curtis and (John Badley). Her sisters Laurel and Faye, 11 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
