Geneal Jorgenson

December 18, 1924 — February 28, 2018

Ephraim, Utah - Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Neighbor, and Friend Geneal Mary Christiansen Jorgenson, age 93 of Ephraim, passed away on February 28, 2018 while surrounded by her loved ones. Geneal was born in Mayfield, Utah on December 18, 1924. A daughter of Albert Julius and Ellis Irene Baxter Christiansen. She attended Manti High School and graduated in the class of 1943. She then went on to Snow College where she graduated with the class of 1945. She married Max A. Jorgenson on May 5, 1946, and their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple in October of 1990. Max passed away on January 13, 2014. Geneal worked many years as a seamstress in Carlisle's Sewing Plant. She also sewed at home and made many uniforms for the Manti High School Drill team and the Snow College Cheerleaders. She enjoyed working in her garden and flower beds. She loved to cook and was very good at it. We all looked forward to her Sunday dinners with Grandpa Albert. She loved the holidays and, looked forward to cooking the holiday dinners for her family. Mom we love you and you will be missed by all! Geneal is survived by her children Sheila and Gerald Curtis of South Jordan; Diane Pehrson of Kearns; Randy and Heleen Jorgenson of Ephraim; Nancy and Brad Ledford of Gunnison; 14 Grandchildren; 28 Great-Grandchildren; 7 Great-Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by both of her parents; her husband; a sister Nola Green; her brothers: Vearl Christiansen; Ernell Christiansen; Bert Christiansen. Graveside services will be held at 12 Noon on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 in the Ephraim Park Cemetery, Ephraim, Utah, under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
