Georgie Drolc

November 5, 1933 — November 16, 2019

Richfield, Utah – Our beloved mother, Georgie Anna Clark Drolc, age 86, of Richfield, passed away November 16, 2019 at the home of her daughter in West Valley City. She was born November 5, 1933 in Meeker, Colorado, a daughter of George William and Esther Anna Giesick Clark. Georgie was raised on a ranch on the White River in Meeker, where she loved herding sheep on her horse. While riding her horse, she could read her books that she dearly loved, and there she developed a love of reading. Georgie married Ronald Frank Drolc January 17, 1950 in Craig, Colorado. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple January 22, 1963. He preceded her in death on November 30, 2013. Georgie was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She and Ron served a four year mission at the Bishop’s Storehouse. She was an avid reader and would read at least 12 books every week. She loved to sew; make candy, especially dipped chocolates at Christmas time; and loved working in her rose garden and helping Ron in their yard. Mom, you will be greatly missed, we love you. Georgie is survived by her four daughters: Gwen and Ken Searles of West Valley City; Beth and Brad Chadwick of Yuma, Arizona; Becky and Clark Knight, Jennifer and Chad Anderson, all of Richfield; 13 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; three sisters: Virginia Klein, Meadie Bombardiere and Suzie Mackler, all of Denver, Colorado. She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Esther Clark; her husband, Ron Drolc; a grandson, Nicholas Lynn Knight; and four siblings: Miriam Hartung, Harry William Clark, Charlene Leonard and Malinda Clark. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 9, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. in the Richfield Utah Stake Center, 159 North 400 West. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Richfield, Sunday evening, December 8, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. or at the Stake Center, Monday morning from 9:00 to 10:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
