Gina Yazzie

September 11, 1966 — July 23, 2012

Monroe, Utah - Our dearly beloved wife, mother, sister and grandmother, Georgenia Lee Kanosh Yazzie, age 45, of Monroe, died July 23, 2012 in Provo, Utah of a lingering illness. She was a very wonderful and courageous woman. Gina was born September 11, 1966 in Richfield, Utah, a daughter of Jenny Lee Kanosh John. She married Elliott Yazzie June 27, 1997 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Gina was outgoing, so full of life and fun to be around. She loved being outdoors. Some of her hobbies were fishing, camping and also riding 4 wheelers with her husband. She had a big heart and was so full of love. She had a great love for her husband, children, sisters and grandchildren. Gina was loved dearly by her family and by so many others who were blessed to have known her. She may be gone, but she will never be forgotten. Gina is survived by her husband of Monroe; children: Hope Kanosh of Cedar City; Keisha Allen, Danielle Giles and Asia Giles, all of Richfield; 13 grandchildren; sisters: Jayelyne and Rick Yazzie of Salt Lake City; Heather John of St. George; Shilo John, Edurine Kanosh, Dawn Kanosh, Olivia Kanosh and Jana Kanosh, all of Cedar City. She was preceded in death by her mother, Jenny Lee John. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 28, 2012 at 12 Noon in the Monroe LDS Stake Center, 140 South Main Street in Monroe, where friends may call for viewing Saturday morning from 10:00 to 11:30 prior to the services. Burial will take place in the Richfield City Cemetery at a later date under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
