"Together Again" Salina, Utah - Gwen Elizabeth Robins Martin, age 92,of Salina, passed away March 13, 2014 at Sevier Valley Hospital in Richfield, from complications of a stroke. She was born July 8, 1921 in Salina, Utah, a daughter of Morrill T and Nola Jane Crane Robins. She married Bennett A Martin, February 10, 1945 in Great Falls, Montana. He preceded her in death on October 18, 2008. Gwen was raised in Salina with seven brothers and sisters. She attended school in Salina, graduating from North Sevier High School and Excelcios Beauty College in Salt Lake. She made her home in Salina, where she raised three children. She was active in the community with the Salina Legion Auxiliary and quilted many years at the senior center. Gwen was a great cook, homemaker and was always sewing, quilting, crocheting and crafting many beautiful needlepoint pictures for family and friends. She worked many years at the Salina 5 10 and later at Barbs Just For Her and later for Janis Nielsen at Kenzey Pearl's. She loved people and dealing with the public. She was a kind loving person and a friend to all. Gwen is survived by her children: Patricia M (Wayne, deceased) Christensen of Salina; George B and Bonnie Martin of Midway; Paul R and Paula Martin of Salina; grandchildren: Burke Wayne (Joetta, deceased) Christensen; Leisa Brooke Robinson; Nicholas G and Carlie Martin; Jordan B. and Krystal Martin; Malissa M and Brandon Snow; nine grandchildren with another on the way; two sisters: Norma Martin of Sandy and Rae Lindquist of Cottonwood Heights. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sisters and three brothers: Beryle Mickelson, Geraldine Herstead, Brooks Robins, Jack M Robins and Bob Robins. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at 12: 00 Noon in the Salina LDS Stake Center, 98 West 400 North in Salina, where friends may call for viewing Tuesday morning from 10:00 to 11:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Salina Pioneer Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
