Antimony, Utah - Hal DuWayne Jensen, age 84, of Antimony, passed away January 19, 2011 in Nephi, Utah. He was born August 26, 1926 in Sigurd, Utah, a son of Marion Rasmus and Bernice Louise Starley Jensen. He married Athalia Maydean Hatch, June 21, 1946 in Richfield, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. Hal was a Veteran of the US Navy, serving during World War II. Hal and Athalia moved to Antimony soon after their marriage and there made a wonderful life together. He enjoyed farming, ranching, hunting, fishing, his church and Temple callings, helping others, and making things work. He loved his family and enjoyed being with them. Hal is survived by his wife of Antimony; his children: Duane and Cindy Jensen of Highland; Kendal and Christine Jensen of Richfield; Kathryn and Randy Gould of Nephi; Eva and Thane Wilson of Salt Lake City; 20 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; a sister, Janice and Mateland Nay of Richfield. He was preceded in death by a son, Lee Edward Jensen; brother, John “Jack” and Ellis Rae Jensen; sister, Bonita “Bonnie” and Dick Robison. Funeral Services will be held Monday, January 24, 2011 at 12 Noon in the Antimony LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Richfield, Sunday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. or at the ward chapel in Antimony, Monday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 prior to the services. Burial with military honors accorded by the Veteran of Foreign Wars Sevier Post #5050 and the Utah Honor Guard will be in the Antimony Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
