Hayden Call Adkins

December 9, 1998 — August 20, 2017

Henrieville, Utah - Our beloved Son, Brother, Grandson, Uncle, Nephew, Cousin, and Friend Hayden Call Adkins returned home to our Heavenly Father on August, 20 2017 at the age of 18, after a long and difficult fight with cancer. Hayden was born on December 9, 1998 in Boise, Idaho. The son of Robert William and Loreli Sarah Rose Adkins. Hayden was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He gained a testimony at a young age when he sung "I Pray in Faith" in Primary, and he felt the gentle promptings of the Spirit. He continued to be active in the church where he enjoyed Scouting and served as the Priest Quorums First Assistant. He was a proud graduate of the LDS Seminary Program. Hayden attended Bryce Valley High School where he maintained honor roll and high honor roll, then Graduated with the Class of 2017 despite his multitude of treatments. Hayden had many interests. He enjoyed football, wrestling, cross country, and track. He liked to read, and he loved to spend time with his family and friends. Hayden's sister described him as the "Best Human in the World", and those who knew him agree. He kept an amazing attitude through the many years he fought his cancer. He even remained positive through the amputation of his arm. In the mist of his suffering he was attentive and loving to those around him. Though he was a soft spoken person he was willing to make his voice heard in the defense of other. He couldn't stand to see others mistreated or bullied. His positive attitude through adversity, and his concern for others has been a great example to his family and friends. His loving heart and wonderful sense of humor will be greatly missed. Hayden is survived by his mother Loreli Adkins; his brothers: Shane Adkins of Boise, Idaho; Jaron Adkins of Lansing, Michigan; Clinton and Megan Adkins of Hurricane; Kelton Adkins of Henrieville; his sister Ashlee Adkins of Cedar City; his grandparents: Delpha Rose of Henrieville; Sharon Adkins of Boise, Idaho. He was preceded in death by his father Robert William Adkins. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, August 25, 2017 in the Henrieville LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call for viewing on Thursday evening from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ward Chapel, or from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM prior to the services. Burial will be in the Henrieville Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Dr. Randall, Dr. Marshall, Dr. Perlman, Dr. Poppe, Dr. Donaldson, Marnie from Intermountain Home Health, and the nurses at Garfield Memorial. Hayden felt and appreciated the love and concern you showed to him. Again thank you!
