Herman Kinsel

Chester, Utah - Herman Kinsel, 81, of Chester, passed away suddenly on Monday August 29, 2016 in Provo, Utah. He was born June 1, 1935 in Tohatchi, New Mexico, a son of Clayton and Edith Bitsie Billy Kinsel. He married Lena Vernita Wilson in 1966. Herman was a member of the LDS Church. He enjoyed working on vehicles, raising livestock, hunting White-Tail Deer in the Four-Corners Area, travelling and helping others. Most of all he loved his grandchildren, who called him Chei’i. He will be greatly missed by those who loved him. He is survived by his loving wife, Lena, currently residing in Centerfield; his children: Hernold (Eve) Kinsel of Ely, Nevada; Michelle (James) Whelan of Richfield; Shanna (Dennis) Springer Wales; and Marvin Kinsel of Salt Lake City; six grandchildren: Samatha Jones, Cedric Jones, Moriah Whelan, Shane Springer, Tegan Springer and Aurora Kinsel; two brothers: Harry (Ruby) Kinsel of Coyote Canyon, New Mexico; Billy Kinsel of Bread Springs, New Mexico; sister-in-law Amelia (Henry) Nez of Tuba City, AZ; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents: Clayton and Edith Kinsel; siblings: Clarence Kinsel, Lillie Benally and Paul Kinsel. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 3, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the Richfield 7th LDS Ward Chapel, 159 North 400 West in Richfield, where friends may call for viewing Saturday morning from 9:00 to 10:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
