Homer S Larsen

Bicknell, Utah - Homer S. Larsen age 88, died peacefully at the Lakeview Hospital in Bountiful, Utah on December 5, 2018. He was born July 30, 1930 in Bicknell, Utah to John Sorenson Larsen and Janet Innes Swan. Due to challenges, Homer was home-schooled by his mother and others. He participated in Boy Scouts and earned the rank of Eagle Scout as an adult. Homer participated in the special Olympics for a number of years and had a collection of medals-ribbons. Homer was loved by his family and community and even though he didn't have children of his own, his nieces and nephews were his own. Homer is survived by his brother, John Richard (Connie) Larsen of Bicknell; and numerous nieces and nephews. Homer is preceded in death by his parents; sister-in-law Myrna Brown Larsen; sister Phyllis (James) Heaton; brother Lowell (Gatha) Larsen, and nephew Dan Heaton. Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 15, 2018 in the Thurber LDS Ward Chapel, Bicknell, Utah. Friends may call for viewing from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the ward chapel prior to services. Burial will be in the Bicknell City cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Homes of Richfield and Salina, Utah. The family would like to offer a special thanks to Project Turn for their years of working with him, caring for him, and loving him, and special recognition to Sylvia and Dena for treating him like family. There really are angels among us and you know who they are.
