Idonna Bird

August 2, 1941 — December 19, 2014

Salina, Utah - Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Sina Idonna Neilson Bird, age 73, of Salina, passed away December 19, 2014 in Ogden, Utah. She was born August 2, 1941 in Richfield, a daughter of Alma Anton and Margie Loretta Robinson Neilson. She graduated from Richfield High School, Class of 1959. She married Glenn Robert Bird January 14, 1961 in Richfield. He died January 11, 2012. Idonna was a member of the LDS Church. She worked at Mom's Cafe in Salina for many years. She loved quilting and sewing, crocheting and spending time with her grandkids. She had quilted a blanket for each of her grandchildren. She loved her dogs and their companionship. She will be missed. Idonna is survived by her children: Roseanne (Tom) Valk of Redmond; Susan (Kevin) Worrall of Ogden; Robert (Heidi) Bird, Holly (RJ) Jensen, all of Salina; and Don Bird of Florida; 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Rosella Smith of American Fork. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers: Orvis Neilson and Golden Neilson. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 26, 2014 at 12 Noon in the Salina 2nd LDS Ward Chapel, 85 South 100 East in Salina. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home, 150 East Main Street in Salina, Friday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Salina Eastside Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
