Hatch, Utah - Our kind and beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Idonna Fallis Deuel, age 90, died May 13, 2007 in Panguitch, Utah, after a valiant battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born May 6, 1917 in Hatch, a daughter of Jacob Alonzo and Abigail Clove Fallis. She graduated from Panguitch High School, Class of 1935 and attended college for one year at Dixie. She married Osmyn H. Deuel, December 25, 1938 in Hatch. He died December 10, 1968. Idonna was an active member of the LDS Church, serving as ward and stake dance director, in the Relief Society Presidency, as a Visiting Teacher, Sunday School and Primary Teacher. Idonna was the first kindergarten teacher in Hatch. She enjoyed all kinds of handiwork, sewing, quilting, music and art. She is survived by her children: Osmyn LaVor and Brenda Deuel of Fontana, California; Rose Elaine Deuel of Hatch; Val Dean Deuel of Enoch; 5 grandchildren: Jarett LaVor Deuel, Heath Osmyn Deuel, Jade Ashley Deuel, Jansen Deuel and Josten Dean Deuel; 1 great-granddaughter: Jillian Ashley Deuel; sisters and brother: LaVerne Olson of Blackfoot, Idaho; Julia Wise of West Point; Dorothy Imlay of Emett, Idaho; Arvel A. Fallis of Fallon, Nevada; brother-in-law: Francis F. Simons of McCammon, Idaho. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Noel Alvey Deuel; 1 brother and 1 sister: Mark C. Fallis and Elaine F. Simons. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 18, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. in the Hatch LDS Ward Chapel, where friends may call for viewing Friday morning from 11:00 to 12:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Hatch Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison, Utah.
