Inez D. Jensen

Lyman, Utah - Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Hattie Inez DeLeeuw Jensen, age 80, of Lyman, died September 21, 2013 in Richfield, Utah. She was born June 30, 1933 in Lyman, Utah, a daughter of William Claus and Pearl Jackson DeLeeuw. She graduated from Wayne High School. She married Joseph Ray Jensen, June 14, 1950 in Fredonia, Arizona. Their marriage was solemnzied in the Manti LDS Temple October 12, 1996. He died December 5, 1998. Inez was a member of the LDS Church, serving in the Relief Society, Primary and MIA. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, Camp Thousand Lake. She also served as overseer of the Senior Citizens Center in Wayne County for many years. She enjoyed quilting and fishing. Inez is survived by her two children: Gary and his wife, Mary Jensen of Page, Arizona; Rosalie Christensen of Richfield; grandchildren: Jason and Lisa Jensen, Lisa Henson, Stephanie and Greg Cullison, Misty and Tony Anderson, Christina Christensen, Brandy and Tim Mosher; 16 great-grandchildren; sister and brothers: Lena and Kent Taylor of Salt Lake City; Earl and Madelyn DeLeeuw of Lyman; Dolan and Ursala DeLeeuw of Lindon; Milton and Renae DeLeeuw of Orem. She was preceded in death by her parents, Claus and Pearl DeLeeuw; her husband, Ray; a son-in-law, Jesse Christensen; and a great-grandson, Patrick Anderson. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 26, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. in the Lyman LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Richfield, Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. or at the ward chapel in Lyman, Thursday morning from 11:00 to 12:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Lyman Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
