Irene Pierce Fillmore

Burrville, Utah - Our beloved mother, grandmother and sister, Irene Pierce Fillmore, age 91, passed away February 10, 2011 in Richfield, Utah. She was born November 6, 1919 at the home of her parents in Fremont, Utah. Irene was the second child of nine children born to John Washington and Pearl Ivy Balle Pierce. She grew up in Wayne County and graduated from Wayne High School. She married J Cecil Fillmore, May 25, 1947 in Fremont, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple July 9, 1958. He died November 7, 2003. Irene is survived by her children: Duane Verl Fillmore of Ogden; Neal L. Fillmore of Las Vegas, Nevada; 6 grandchildren: Brandi Lyn Stokes, J Aaron Fillmore, Bryan Duane Fillmore, Ashley Rebecca Fillmore, Amber Lee Fillmore and Noah John Fillmore; 7 great-grandchildren; sisters: Erma (Vern, deceased) Farmer of Mesa, Arizona; Viva and Jay Adams of Kaysville; Rose and Taft Shackleford of Sierra Vista, Arizona; Ruby and Phillo Gates of Kearns; Fern and Roy Mallory of Richfield; Nellie and Harry Bristol of Riverside, California. She was preceded in death by a son, Noel J Fillmore and two brothers: Verl Pierce and Eldon Pierce. Funeral Services will be held Monday, February 14, 2011 at 12 Noon in the Koosharem LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Richfield, Sunday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. or at the ward chapel in Koosharem Monday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Burrville Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
