Iva May Hickman

Torrey, Utah - Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Iva May Pace Hickman, age 76, of Torrey, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2015 in Provo, Utah, of complications from surgery. She was born July 10, 1938 in Torrey, Utah, a daughter of Don William and Clella Mary Cook Pace, in the same house she lived in today. She graduated from Wayne High School, Class of 1956. She married Sherild Dez Hickman, June 26, 1956 in the Manti LDS Temple. They moved to Las Vegas, Nevada and lived there for 40 years, until her loving husband of 52 years, passed away. He died July 28, 2008. She then returned home to Torrey. She is survived by her children: Tammy Holcomb, Linda Carlin, Joan and Jim Letner, adopted son, Terry Hickman, all of Las Vegas, Nevada; Connie Hickman of Torrey; Chris and Andrea Hickman of Layton; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; a brother, Rudolph and Paula Pace of Torrey; sisters-in-law: Sonja Pace of St. George and Carol F. Pace of Woodland Hills. She is preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Kathy Hickman Anderson, who was married to David Anderson, and Cheryl Lynn Hickman; and two brothers: Alfred William "Bill" Pace and Wilford "Wif" Don Pace. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 26, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. in the Torrey LDS Ward Chapel, where friends may call for viewing Monday morning from 11:00 to 12:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Torrey Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
