Aurora, Utah - Joseph Ivo Curtis, age 78, died March 15, 2006 at the home of his sister and brother-in-law, Don and Colleen Nielson, in Gunnison, Utah. He was born July 23, 1927 in Aurora, Utah, a son of Joseph and Amy Durfee Curtis. Ivo farmed with his father for many years. He worked for the Producers Livestock Salina Auction for over 20 years. He then worked for his long time friend, Ken Johnson of Valley View Feed Lot for over 20 years. Ivo was preceded ind eath by his mother, Amy, amd his father, Joseph, and step-mother, Bessie Nelson Curtis and his sister, Nadine Shaw. Ivo was a friend to all and loved his work, whatever he was doing. He leaves many relatives, friends and great neighbors. He will be missed by all. Ivo is survived by his sisters: Colleen and Don Nielson of Gunnison, Gae and Dale Mangrum of West Jordan; Marilyn and Terry Williams of Salt Lake City. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 18, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. in the Aurora 1st LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Salina, Friday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. and at the ward chapel in Aurora, Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Aurora City Cemetery under the direction of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison, Utah.
