J Cecil Fillmore Burrville, Utah - J Cecil Fillmore, age 89, of Burrville, died Friday, November 7, 2003 at his home in Burrville. He was born August 31, 1914 in Annabella, Utah, a son of John Othello and Cloa Mae Holt Fillmore. He graduated from North Sevier High School and attended Brigham Young University. He married Irene Pierce, May 25, 1947 in Fremont, Utah.. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple in July of 1958. J was a veteran of World War II serving in the United States Army from 1940 to 1945. He served on the front line in Europe for one year, 1944-45. J worked at Fish Lake Lodge and Lakeside Resort as their maintenance man for over 20 years. He raised cattle and mink and was the best farmer around. J loved to hunt, fish and trap. He was always planting a garden and working in them, weeding and growing vegetables. J served as President of the Burrville Irrigation Company and was involved with the Burrville Culinary Water. He was an active member of the LDS Church, serving in the Sunday School Presidency and worked in the Boy Scouts. J will always be remember for his striped overalls and safari hats!!! He is survived by his wife of Burrville; children: Duane Fillmore of Tremonton, UT; Neal and Jeannine Fillmore of Las Vegas, NV; 6 grandchildren: Brandi Lyn and Brandon Stokes, Ashley Rebecca Fillmore, J Aaron and Jenny Fillmore, Amber Lee Fillmore, Bryan Duane Fillmore and Noah John Fillmore; sister: Madge Waters of St. George. He was preceded in death by a son, Noel J. Fillmore and three brothers: Keith Wm. Fillmore, LaMar S. Fillmore and Othello Fillmore. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 11, 2003 at 1:00 P.M. in the Koosharem LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Richfield, Monday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. and at the ward chapel in Koosharem Tuesday from 11:00 to12:30 prior to the services. Burial with military honors accorded by the Harold Brown American Legion Post #92 will be in the Burrville Cemetery under the direction of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison, Utah.
