Jack Leroy Becker

April 12, 1970 — April 22, 2024

Richfield, Utah – Our beloved father, son, brother, and friend, Jack LeRoy Becker, age 54, passed away on April 22, 2024.


Jack was born on April 12, 1970, in Boulder City, Nevada to Jack LeRoy Sr. and Susan Lee Hamilton Becker. He grew up in Nuevo, California where his childhood was one of activity and adventure. From a young age, he enjoyed BMX, fishing, boating, roller-skating, and climbing. He graduated from Perris High School, class of 1988, and went on to trade school where he apprenticed in plumbing. He married Philicia Marshall on October 21, 1995, in Virginia City, Nevada. Together they had a son, Riley. They later divorced. Jack lived in Monroe for 15 years and spent the last 20 years living in Richfield.


Jack, known to his family as “Guy” was a hardworking, extremely intelligent person and a loving dad. He loved classic cars and trucks and collected and restored many over the years. On any given day you might see him stuccoing his house, working on his latest vehicle project, or challenging a group of teenagers on his son’s scooter. He had the gift of gab and could talk for hours on many topics. A “Jack of all trades” was an HVAC specialist and was owner/operator of Project Heating for over 25 years, with Ace Hardware rounding out his resume in 2024.


Jack is survived by his children: Jack Paul “Riley” Becker, Jackson LeRoy Becker, and Kynlee Becker, all of Richfield; his father: Jack LeRoy Becker of Gainesville, Georgia; stepfather: David Bogart of Monroe; siblings: Sheri Becker of Idaho Falls, Idaho; Deanne Becker of St. George; Rick (Deidre) Becker of Mt. Eden, Kentucky; Taylor Becker of Gainesville, Georgia.


He is preceded in death by his mother: Susan Bogart.


Memorial services will be held on Friday, April 26th, 2024 at 12 Noon in the Richfield LDS Tabernacle, 185 West Center Street in Richfield.



Cremation services are under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Homes of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
