James Carl Mortensen

May 22, 1983 — November 20, 2003

James C. Mortensen “Lil’ James” Salina, Utah - We were blessed with Lil’ James on May 22, 1983 and he was taken from the many people that loved him on November 20, 2003. He was taken from us by an accident he was in, although he struggled with diabetes and a bone disease for many years. Lil’ James loved the outdoors. He loved to fish, hunt, camp, ride four-wheelers and snowmobiles. He also loved to draw and paint ceramics. He liked to fix cars, and work with electronics. He loved animals and children. Mainly, he just loved life. The only thing small about Lil’ James was his size. He is survived by father, Robert Mortensen; his mother, Dortha Nielson; his sister, Michelle Mortensen; brothers, Robbie Mortensen and Joey Mortensen; grandparents, Bryce and Donna Nielson; step-mom, Sherry Payne; step-mother, Tina Mortensen; brother-in-law, Josh Jacobsen; niece, Mercedes Mortensen; step-brother, Jay Payne; step-sister, Jennifer Wilson; nephew, Jordan Wilson; aunts and uncles, Mitch Nielson, George Nielson, Richard Nielson, Bryce Nielson Jr, Brad Mortensen, Mike Mortensen, Bruce Mortensen, Tonya Handy, Sandy Robbins, Cristy Walters, Lonnie Waudenburg and Kathy Mortensen; also many cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jim and Joan Mortensen; great-grandparents, James and Verda Polve, Albert and Reva Estigoy and his step-mother, Priscilla May Padilla Mortensen. Lil’ James holds a place in many hearts and will never be forgotten. We all love you, James.
