James Kay Taylor

June 27, 1966 — January 13, 2021

Hanksville, Utah – James Kay Taylor, age 54, passed away January 13, 2021 at his home in Hanksville, surrounded by his dog, Cisco, his cousins and friends. He was born June 27, 1966 in San Gabriel, California, a son of Roland James and LaPreal Jackson Taylor. James grew up in Murray, Utah. His Dad died when he was four years old and his Mother raised him. He attended school at South Park Academy Canyon School District. James is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where in his younger days he was active in the Primary and Boy Scouts. He loved his mother. She was his whole world and he cared for her up until she passed away in 2012 in Caineville. James loved animals and always treated them with care and attention. He always had a pet. He loved his dog, Cisco who was his buddy till the end. . James was a motel manager at the Caineville Cove Inn. . He enjoyed having family and friends come visit and swim in the pool. He enjoyed the bikers who came out to ride at Swing Arm City. He was a handy man and could fix anything. He loved to help others and he would give anything he had to anyone in need. He loved skiing and motorcycles, cooking and feeding his friends and landscaping. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. We would like to thank those who helped care for James and make it possible for him to be home for his last days, which was his dying wish. A special thanks to Cindy Wilkins and Cheryl Sheffield for their tender care of James. James is survived by his cousins and close friends. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. in the Caineville Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
