Jan Rae Penney

Salina, Utah – Our beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend and neighbor, Jan Rae Penney, age 56, passed away on May 24, 2021 at her home in Salina. Jan was born on February 14, 1965, to Kenneth William Brunson and Marlene Isabell Despain. She was married to Troy Fay Melville who passed away in August 1998. She married Michael Theodore Penney who passed in January 2020. She was later engaged to Danney Watts. Jan had a fun and likable personality. She worked at Arby’s in Salina where she made many friends and was the life of the party at work. She loved gardening and plants and was well-known for her green thumb. She was hard-working and loved to clean and make crafts, particularly making jewelry and crocheting. She is well-loved by her family and they will miss getting to be a part of her life. Jan is survived by her mother, siblings: Robert (Jeanine) Brunson, Collette (Brad) Gunderson, Garin (Cindy) Brunson; her children: Shawn Melville, Christopher (Spring) Melville, Jessica (Christopher) Prows, Alexander Melville, Joshua (Micaella) Melville; grandchildren: Charlotte (Justus) Berg, Reed Rupp, Troy Melville, Duane Melville, Finnigan Prows, Theoden Prows, and one more little one on the way. Memorial services will be held on at 5:00 P.M. Saturday, June 19th at 95 West 400 North in Fillmore under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Homes of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
