Jane Jacobson

November 20, 1924 — January 7, 2009

Elsinore, Utah - Our kind and precious mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and friend, Mary Jane Dickinson Bird Jacobson, age 84, died January 7, 2009 at her home in Elsinore. She was born November 20, 1924 in Richfield, Utah, a daughter of Otis Alonzo and Rebecca June Adams Dickinson. She graduated from Richfield High School, Class of 1942. She married George C. Bird, August 3, 1945 in Eureka, Nevada. He died November 22, 1972. She married Deloy Evan Jacobson, December 6, 1974 in Elsinore, Utah. He died April 15, 2005. Jane lived in Circleville with her first husband, George, for 30 years. After he died, and she married Deloy, they moved to Elsinore in 1975. Jane worked as a housekeeper at the Richfield Care Center. She was a member of the LDS Church, serving in the Primary in Circleville. She always raised a big garden and enjoyed canning and bottling the fruits of their harvest. She also enjoyed quilting, embroidery work and crafts. Jane is survived by her children: Barbara Bird of Riverton; Michael and Sharon Bird, Steven and Pauline Bird, all of Circleville; Tom and Helen Bird of Central Valley; Becky and Sterling Delbridge of McCammon, Idaho; Pam and Todd O’Neal of Elsinore, Georgia and Ronnie Lund of Aurora; step-children: Cathy and Dean Jensen of Ogden; Deanne and Phil Jensen and Alan Jacobson, all of Elsinore; 16 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by nine brothers and four sisters: Levi Myers, Eldon Dickinson, Freeman Dickinson, Leo Dickinson, Nellie Atkinson, Ellis Dickinson, Ione Singleton, Joy Kennedy, Hope Stillman, Calif Dickinson, Clark Dickinson, Otis Alonzo Dickinson and Ardell Dickinson; and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 10, 2009 at 1:00P.M. in the Elsinore LDS Ward Chapel, where friends may call for viewing Saturday morning from 11:30 to12:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Elsinore Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
