Janet Cowley Hansen

Venice, Utah - Our beloved mother, daughter, sister and friend, Janet Cowley Hansen, age 39, died April 21, 2007 near Annabella, Utah of injuries suffered in an automobile accident. She was born November 1, 1967 in Gunnison, Utah, a daughter of Gary Allen and Colleen Barney Cowley. She graduated from Richfield High School, Class of 1986. Janet married Tracy Lee Hansen, July 5, 1986 in Venice, Utah. They were later divorced. Janet was a member of the LDS Church, where she had been a Primary Teacher in the Venice Ward. She was a cosmetologist by profession and was currently enrolled in Snow College Richfield, taking a business course. Janet enjoyed doing things with her son, Kortney. She is survived by her son, Kortney Hansen; her parents, Gary and Colleen Cowley, all of Venice; sisters and brother: Lorelei and Kim Smith of Idaho Falls, Idaho; Kendall and Kathy Cowley of Venice; Cheryl Farnsworth of Farmington. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 24, 2007 at 11:30 A.M. in the Venice LDS Ward Chapel, where friends may call for viewing Tuesday morning from 9:00 to11:00 A.M. prior to the services. Burial will be in the Venice Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison, Utah.
