Janette Randall

Centerfield, Utah/Mesa, Arizona – Our kind and beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and friend, Janette Elaine Grewell Randall, age 94, passed away June 26, 2020 at the home of her grandson in Centerfield, Utah. She was born March 4, 1926 in Marshalltown, Iowa, a daughter of Lee Herbert and Wava Louise Cooper Grewell. Her mother died when Jan was 19 days old. Her father later married Fern Steveson. Jan was raised by her grandmother Cooper. She graduated from Ferguson High School in Ferguson, Iowa Class of 1944. She attended a secretarial school after high school. Jan married Charles B. Randall September 30, 1945 in Nashua, Iowa. To this union were born five children. He died October 2, 1991. She later married Les Burkhardt June 15, 1996 in Overgaard, Arizona. He died June 4, 2001. Jan worked as a Secretary in the school systems. Jan was an active member of the Methodist Church, Shepherd of the Pines in Overgaard, Arizona. While living in Phoenix, she was an active member in Cross of the Desert. She enjoyed quilting, going to her kids ballgames and gymkhanas, family events and volunteering at the Sr. Citizens. Jan was a friend to anyone she met. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by her children: Pam and Dana McClaskey, Tani Randall, all of Mesa, Arizona; Jeff and Karen Randall of Glendale, Arizona; Teri and Tom Marciano of Flagstaff, Arizona; Ted Randall of Phoenix, Arizona; 7 grandchildren: Ken McClaskey, Aaron and Vikki McClaskey, Brian and Cindy Randall, Kim and John Darmstadt, Nicole and Taylor Grantham, Christopher and Lisi Marciano, Taylehr Berryhill; 11 great-grandchildren: Devany, Liam and Brody McClaskey; Alyssa and Bo Burrell; Ally and Lyla Randall; Emma and Michael Grantham; and Matthew Marciano; 1 great-great-granddaughter, Finlee Jo Burrell; half sister Joline and Merrill Halter of Mesa, Arizona. She is preceded in death by her mother, Wava Louise Cooper Grewell; her father and step-mother, Lee H. and Fern Grewell; both of her husband, Charles B. Randall and Less Burkhardt; and a half brother, Bill Grewell. Graveside services and burial will take place at the Phoenix Memorial Park in Phoenix, Arizona under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
