Jean C. Hansen

February 9, 1927 — January 6, 2006

Tora Jean Case Hansen was born in Annabella, Sevier, Utah in 1927, and passed away in Escondido, California, San Diego, California on January 6, 2006. Her husband, Franklin Duane Hansen and her parents, Marion Arnold Case and Louisa Barney Case, preceded her in death. Jean was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friends. She took delight in a clean and tidy home. She served faithfully in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She worked in Primary as a teacher and in the presidency for over 20 years. She also served in the Relief Society Presidency and served as Relief Society President over 8 years and in the Stake Relief Society Presidency as a Counselor for over 10 years. She also served as Jr. Sunday School Coordinator. She was also a vigilant Visiting Teacher, serving in that position until her death. Jean was greatly loved by her family and friends, and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Geraldine and Steven N. Haven of Everett, Washington; her son and daughter-in-law, Arnold Duane and Candace Hansen of Escondido, California; her granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Alicia and Anthony Rousseau of West Jordan, Utah. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Maureen and Herb Gukeisen of Central Valley; sister, Barbara Sharp, sister and brother-in-law Peggy and Doug White, brother and sister-in-law Allen and Evlyn Case, all of Richfield; sister and brother-in-law Bonnie and Duane Christensen of Spring City; sister-in-law and brother-in-law La Don and Denvy Larson fo Salem, Oregon; and her sister-in-law, Joan Hansen of Escondido, California. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 13, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. in the Springer Turner Funeral Home Chapel, located at 260 North 400 West in Richfield, where friends may call for viewing Friday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Annabella Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison, Utah.
