Jeanette Sorensen Malmgren

Gunnison, Utah - Our kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Lois Jeanette Sorensen Malmgren, age 77, of Gunnison, passed away July 6, 2019 at her home in Gunnison. She was born September 19, 1941 in Salina, Utah, a daughter of Marlin J. and Nelda Zufelt Sorensen. She graduated from North Sevier High School, Class of 1959. Jeanette married Lee P. Malmgren January 2, 1997 in Gunnison, Utah. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Jeanette enjoyed painting, drawing, collecting antiques, fishing with her grandkids, camping and traveling with her husband. She is survived by her husband, Lee P. Malmgren of Gunnison; children: Travis and Lori Curtis of Centerville; Denette Curtis of Florince, Oregon; Justin and Kim Curtis of Herriman; Tiffany and Greg Johnson of Salina; Bojames and Tennille Miller of Lehi; step-children: Terrie Lee and John Hammond of Fayette; Tami and Mitch Hansen of Gunnison; Brad and Carly Malmgren of Riverton; 28 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; sister: Gwen and Rae Noyes of Salina. She is preceded in death by her parents, Marlin J. and Nelda Sorensen; two brothers, Marlin Jr. Sorensen and Barry Sorensen. There will be an Open House Memorial Service at the Salina LDS Stake Center, 98 West 400 North in Salina, Saturday, August 3, 2019 from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 Noon.
