Jeff L. Mcclellan

June 23, 1956 — August 22, 2018

Richfield, Utah - Our beloved brother, uncle, cousin and friend, Jeffrey Lee McClellan, age 62, passed away August 22, 2018 in Richfield, after a brave year long battle with brain cancer. He was born June 23, 1956 in Richfield, a son and the last child of John William and Gayle Stewart McClellan. Jeff graduated from Richfield High School, Class of 1974. He then received his Bachelors Degree in Geology from Utah State College in Logan. He worked at Western Clay Company in Aurora as a Geologist for the past 25 years. Jeff loved his work and the people that he worked with. Jeff was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He like hunting, fishing and riding his motorcycle. He loved animals, especially his cats. He looked forward to the fall hunts, where he could be with his family, out camping and hunting. Jeff will be greatly missed. Jeff is survived by his siblings; Lynn and Susan McClellan of Annabella; Kim and Merilee McClellan, Kerry and Amy McClellan, all of Orem; Trudy and Alec Panatopoulos of Ely, Nevada; step-mother: Arla Potter Parsons McClellan of Richfield; step-siblings: Pat and Ron Ferguson of St. George; Pam Parsons of Atlanta, Georgia; Letha Parsons of Las Vegas, Nevada; Mike and Kim Parsons of Bountiful. He is preceded in death by his mother, Gayle S. McClellan; his father, John W. McClellan; and a brother, Larry McClellan. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. in the Richfield East LDS Stake Center, 805 North 500 East in Richfield, where friends may call for viewing Wednesday morning from 11:00 to 12:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
