MONROE — Jenny, our full of life, fiery, headstrong girl grew her angel wings at age 36, Oct. 29, 2020 in Provo, Utah. She was born September 30 1984, a daughter of Dan Kirk and Debra Lyn Hunt Chavis. She was raised in Monroe and grew up with her cousins and close neighborhood friends. If you were lucky enough to know her you knew she was a loyal friend, caring and could outwit you at anytime. Jenny spent her childhood riding her horse, Bally, playing softball and keeping up with her two brothers. Jenny loved her family and friends and riding her four-wheeler at the dunes. She had a contagious laugh, so many good jokes and the ability to make anybody laugh. Jenny had a kind, huge heart that had to go through too much. After many years of pain we find peace in knowing she has reunited with her mother and two brothers. Our family will miss her kind spitfire soul but know that she is finally free and at peace. Jenny is survived by her father, Dan Chavis of Monroe; grandmother, LuJean Hunt of Teasdale; aunts, uncles and many cousins. Jenny is preceded in death by her mother, Debra Upchurch; brothers, Ben Chavis and Jesse Chavis; and grandparents, Beverly and Budd Chavis, Duane Hunt and Judy Stewart. Graveside services will be held at the Monroe City Cemetery on Thursday, November 5, at 11 am. Family and close friends are welcome. Keeping in line with current COVID-19 guidelines, the family requires all attendees to wear a mask and practice social distancing. Burial will be in the Monroe City Cemetery under the care of Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina.
