Jenny White

June 24, 1930 — April 9, 2015

Richfield, Utah - Jenevive Curtis White, "Jenny" to all who knew and loved her, passed away peacefully on the morning of April 9, 2015, surrounded by her loving children. Jenny is now rejoicing in being reunited with her eternal sweetheart, Arden, who preceded her in death. In life they were inseparable; they are now reunited for eternity. Jenny was born June 24, 1930, to Floyd and Bessie Mason Curtis in Aurora, Utah. Jenny married Arden Henry White, November 5, 1948. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple, June 12, 1964. It is impossible to think of Jenny without thinking of Arden. Together they came from very humble beginnings to operate Arden White Trucking, a successful business for over fifty years. For decades, Jenny kept records and managed the business while Arden "went trucking." While their business was successful, they will always be remembered for their most important accomplishment: their marriage and family. Jenny took pride in her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her great-great-grandchildren. Jenny's marriage to Arden was a testament of undying love and devotion. Arden treated Jenny like a queen and she acted and looked the part. A beautiful woman, Jenny would never start her day without her hair, makeup, and clothes being "just right." Jenny's and Arden's example of marriage will remain their legacy throughout generations in their family. Jenny lived a rich and full life. She particularly enjoyed bowling, traveling, country music and cheering for her beloved Utah Jazz. Jenny was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Although quiet and reserved, she faithfully fulfilled numerous callings. Her life was one of quiet devotion and faithful obedience. Jenny is survived by her children: Trudy (Kendrick) Rogers of St. George; Darcy (Mike) Labrum of Richfield; Darvin (Barbara) White of Richfield; Sheila (John) Hummel of St. George; 17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren; and her siblings: Onda Vee Dotson and Ilene Parsons, both of Richfield; Dent Curtis of Glenwood; Lois Elder of Marysvale; Gloria Stewart of Sigurd; and Lane Curtis of Salt Lake City. Jenny was preceded in death by a grandson, Torey Christensen; her parents; two brothers and one sister: Bladen Curtis, Wayne Curtis and Gaye Perkins. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 17, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. in the Richfield East LDS Stake Center, 805 North 500 East in Richfield.
