Jerry J. Ellett

Bicknell, Utah - Jerry June Ellett, age 74, passed away August 25, 2018 at his home in Bicknell. He was born February 21, 1944 in Loa, a son of June Shiner and Irene Bullard Ellett. He graduated from Wayne High School, Class of 1962. He joined the Utah National Guard and served from 1965 to 1970. Jerry married Diana Sue Huse September 4, 1970 in Bicknell, Utah. They were later divorced. Jerry worked for the Utah Department of Transportation as an Engineer. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Jerry enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, farming, and spending time with his family. He was an avid Jazz fan. GO JAZZ!!! He is survived by his children: Tracy and John Wayne of Payson; Tom and Danielle Ellett of Bicknell; grandchildren: Amanda Wayne, Britteny Wayne, Caitlyn Wayne and John Wayne; Jastin and Rebecca Ellett; Kearra Ellett, Olivia Ellett, and Heston Ellett; 1 great-granddaughter: Jaselynn Dawn Ellett; brother: ReVon Ellett of St. George; and a sister-in-law: Jean Ellett of Wells, Nevada. He is preceded in death by his parents; and siblings: Warren and Peggy Ellett, Nolan and Kay Ellett, Glendon Ellett and Elva Ellett. Graveside services will be held on Friday, August 31, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. in the Bicknell Cemetery. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Richfield, Thursday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. Burial with military honors accorded by the Harold Brown American Legion Post #92 and the Utah Honor Guard will be in the Bicknell Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
