Jerry Mccullough

January 11, 1936 — July 21, 2022

Aurora, Utah – Gerald “Jerry” Howard McCullough returned to his loving Heavenly Father on July 21, 2022 at his home in Aurora. Jerry was a devoted loving husband, father, brother, grandpa and great-grandfather. He was born, the oldest of four children, to loving parents, Gerald Hardy and Grace Leona Lewis McCullough in Commodore, Pennsylvania on January 11, 1936. When he was 10 years, the family moved and he grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada. Jerry married Laura Lee Maguire June 30, 1956. Their marriage was solemnized in the St. George LDS Temple December 7, 1963. She preceded him in death April 7, 1978. Jerry then married June Porter Gregory March 24, 1979 in Las Vegas. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple September 16, 1989. Jerry was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many callings with his heart open in Pahrump, Nevada and Aurora, Utah. His favorite was in the Bishopric in Aurora. He was a member and was very active in the Aurora Off-Roaders for the past 20 years. He really looked forward to the yearly Rocky Mountain Jamboree and guiding the mountain trail rides. He was always in the shop doing his woodworking, making mantle clocks, treasure boxes and seasonal decorations. Jerry loved the mountains. He loved fishing, hunting and camping with his family. He was always willing to help anyone with what ever project they needed help with. He loved attending the activities of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jerry is survived by his beloved wife, June, of Aurora; his children: Kelly and Jim Fortson of Rice, Texas; Teri and Scott Wagneer of Las Vegas, Nevada; Debora and Rodney Nielson of Aurora, Utah; Barbara Cosse of Las Vegas, Nevada; George and Gina Gregory of Kenosha, Wisconsin; 6 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; sisters: Charlotte and Lee Farrell, Barbara and Edward Waymire, all of Henderson, Nevada; Adah and Danny Braswell of Las Vegas, Nevada; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Laura; children: Lee Gerald McCullough and Shawna Lee McCullough; his parents, Gerald and Grace McCullough; a son-in-law: Kerry Christian; and his parents-in-law: Earl and Ann Porter. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 1, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. in the Aurora 1st LDS Ward Chapel, where friends may call for viewing Monday morning from 9:00 to 10:30 prior to the services. Graveside services and burial will take place on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. (Nevada Time) at Bunkers Memory Gardens Memorial Park, 7251 West Lone Mountain Road in Las Vegas, Nevada under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
