Redmond, Utah - Our kind and beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, Jewel Sorensen Williams, age 86, of Redmond, died September 20, 2013 in Provo, Utah. She was born February 3, 1927 in Salina, a daughter of Christian "Chris" and Liona Peterson Sorensen. She grew up and attended schools in Salina. She married Clark Charles Williams, December 7, 1945 in Richfield, Utah. He died March 16, 2010. Jewel was a member of the LDS Church. She enjoyed camping, fishing and taking care of her flowers and yard work. She is survived by her children: Kay L. and SueAnn Williams, Sandy and Kim Bunce, Chris C. and Linda Williams, all of Salina; Deanna and David Johnson of Elmo; 22 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Dorothy Marx; and infant daughter, Sondra Williams; and infant son, David Williams; a grandson, Travis Clark Tuft; a granddaughter, Ashley Megan Williams and an infant great-granddaughter, Kaydince Pearl Humprey. Grave side services will be held Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. in the Salina Eastside Cemetery. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home, 150 East Main Street in Salina, Tuesday morning from 11:30 to 12:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Eastside Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
