Joan Durfey

Emery, Utah - Our kind and beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Eva Joan Goff Durfey, age 71, died April 12, 2006 in Ferron, Utah of complications from a stroke. She was born November 8, 1934 in Sullivan, Indiana, a daughter of Willard Roscoe and Grace Laura Simons Goff. She married Karnell King Durfey, December 19, 1990 in Price, Utah. Joan was a member of the Catholic Church. She and Karnell had lived in Emery for the past 15 years. Prior to that she had lived in Bicknell. She is survived by her husband, Karnell, of Emery; children: Teresa Copeland (Erne Krabbe) of Elko, Nevada; Robert and Darla Durfey of Yucca City, California; David and Mindy Durfey of San Diego, California; Joyce Freeman of West Valley City, Utah; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Bradley Neil Copeland; a daughter Debra Lee Durfey; three brothers and two sisters: Kenneth Goff, Ivan Goff, Ivo Goff, Lydia Clark and Dorothy Robinson. Funeral mass for Joan will be held Thursday, April 20, 2006 at 1:00 P.M. in the St. Anthony of the Desert Catholic Church, 585 North 500 West in Torrey. Friends may call for viewing at the church in Torrey, Thursday morning from 11:30 to 12:30 prior to the services. Christian burial will take place in the Teasdale Cemetery under the direction of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison, Utah.
