Joanne A. Harris

Richfield, Utah – Our kind and beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, JoAnne Alyda Hilditch Harris, age 53, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Saturday, October 26, 2019 in Provo, Utah. She was born September 21, 1966 in Redlands, California, a daughter of Robert Eldon and Janet Ruth Hawes Hilditch. She graduated from Fountain Valley High School, Class of 1984. She got her Masters Degree in Counseling and Education from the University of Phoenix; her BS in Sociology from the University of Utah. She worked with AT Risk Youth for most of her life. JoAnne married the love of her life, Kyle Jon Harris January 1, 1994 in Provo, Utah. To this union were born two children, Kendra and Mitchell. JoAnne loved to spend time at the beach, being in the mountains and spending time with her family. She loved going to her kid’s sporting events when they were growing up, their swim meets, football games and track meets. She is survived by her loving husband, Kyle, of Richfield; daughter, Kendra and Ronnie Kailey of Richfield; Mitchell and Morgan Harris of St. George; a grandson, Myles Kailey of Richfield; siblings: Shelly and Clint Waite of Parker, Colorado; Sheri and Cat Hilditch and Kari Hilditch, all of Alexandria, Virginia; Robert Lewis Jr. of St. George; Steven and Amanda Lewis of Lehi; Cherie and Josh McLean of Oak Harbor, Washington; Katie Lewis of Anacortes, Washington; her step-father, Robert Lewis, Sr. of St. George; and her mother-in-law: Arlene Harris of Richfield. She is preceded in death by her father, Robert E. Hilditch; her mother, Janet Ruth Lewis; and her father-in-law: Elroy Harris Jr. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at 12:00 Noon in the Springer Turner Funeral Home Chapel, 260 North 400 West in Richfield, where friends may call for viewing Saturday morning from 10:00 to 11:30 prior to the services.
