JoAnne Leiser

March 11, 1938 — September 24, 2024

Lois JoAnne Leiser, 86, passed away September 24, 2024, in Richfield, Utah.

She was born March 11, 1938, to Jack Ray and Lois Coe Gillett. She grew up in Lake Point, Utah and was the oldest of nine children. She had a good childhood and loved playing with her sisters. The stories she would tell of their adventures would always make you laugh. JoAnne graduated from Magna High School when she was in 11th grade.

JoAnne married Eugene Bradley Anderson in Magna, Utah. To their union brought five children, Bryan, Glen, Cory, Brad and Cami. They were later divorced.

JoAnne met and married Harry Thomas Leiser in Magna on April 27, 1984. The couple later moved to West Valley Utah. Harry preceded her in death June 9, 2009.

JoAnne was an active member of the LDS church and held many callings. She was involved with her children and their schools, serving as PTA President and various other duties. But most of all JoAnne loved her family. She spent her time cooking with a dutch oven and loved serving those who were closest to her. She often spent time with her granddaughter, Briana, who was known as “JoAnne’s heart with legs.” The two would watch plays together at Zion’s and Tuacahn.

She loved to talk and visit. She wanted to truly know you, although most of the time you would walk away blushing. JoAnne had a very special relationship with her sister, Patsy. The two would talk and visit for hours.

For the last four years JoAnne lived at Stonehenge of Richfield where she developed special relationships with the angels who took care of her. She truly loved you all. Her family is forever thankful and grateful for Stonehenge of Richfield!

JoAnne is survived by her children: Glen Anderson of Monroe, Cory Anderson of Pueblo, Colorado, Brad Anderson of Monroe, Cami (Wayne) Smith of Monroe; granddaughter: Briana Lefler of Richfield; siblings: Patsy Adams of Las Vegas, Neveda, Diane Fivas of West Jordan, Ray Gillett of Lake Point; siblings-in-laws: Van Shields of Pine Canyon, Dal Shields of Pine Canyon, and Joe Riley of Tooele.
