John A. Syddall

September 14, 1951 — August 18, 2023

Monroe, Utah – Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, John Arthur Syddall passed away August 18, 2023, in Richfield, Utah. He was born September 14, 1951, in Richfield, a son of William and Berneice Watters Syddall.


John married Karen Sutherland in July of 1974 in Monroe, Utah. To this union were born four children.


John is a member of the Richfield Assembly of God Church, where he served as a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, and Royal Rangers Leader. John loved God first and his church family.


John was an avid horseman, shoeing, breaking, and riding horses. He was happiest when he was on horseback riding the Monroe Mountain. John loved hunting, camping and fishing and being with his family at the hunting camp, when he was able.


He will be greatly missed.


John is survived by his wife, Karen Syddall, of Monroe; a son, Mark (Kristie) Syddall of Monroe; his grandchildren: Ashlynn Syddall, Damien Syddall, Brodie Syddall, Sahvannah Syddall and Levi Saxton; a great-granddaughter: Daniella Silva; his siblings: Donna and Ron Beason of Monroe; Bonnie Anding of Brook Haven, Mississippi; Billy and Wanda Syddall of West Valley City; Randy and Darlene Syddall of Richfield; sister-in-law, Sharon Syddall of Richfield.


He is preceded in death by his father, William  Syddall, his mother, Berneice Watters Syddall Rasmussen and his step-father, James Lynndyll Rasmussen; three of his children: John Syddall, Joe Syddall and Tina Ann Syddall; and siblings: Billie Ray Syddall; Baby Boy Syddall; Berl and Veon Syddall; Jackie Syddall, Kay Syddall, Linda Sue and Charles Andy Walker.


At his request, his remains will be cremated.  No services will be held.
