John Rowe

Ivins, Utah - John Stephens Rowe, age 74, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2014 in Ivins, Utah, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born June 15, 1939 in Butte, Montana, to William G. and Maurine Stephens Rowe. He was raised in Provo, Utah and attended Provo High School. He served 6 years in the United States Army. He married Carole Anne Phinney in 1961. They later divorced and he married Linda McKell in 2010. He is survived by his wife Linda Rowe; two daughters: Debra Anne Rowe and Rachelle Renee Martin (Matthew); 5 grandchildren: Stephen Lewis Jones, Jeffery Michael Jones, LeAnn Maurine Jones Baker, Jackson Byrne Martin and Amelia Kelleher Martin; 7 great grandchildren: Ethan Michael, Ava Renee, Emma Ryan, Mason Michael, Hudson Ryan Jones, Alyna Marie, and Noah Robert Baker; 4 brothers: William Stephens (LuRae), Philip Stephens (Marilyn), Kenneth Stephens (Judy) and Thomas Stephens (Janet); a half brother Robert Charles (Melanie); half sister, Mary Estell Rowe; his step mother Maureen Rowe; three step children: Greg (Lou), Steven (Nan) and Christine Holm (Scott); 10 step grandchildren; one step great grandchild. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, February 28, 2014 in the Red Cliffs LDS 2nd Ward Chapel, 625 East Center Street, Ivins, Utah. Friends may call for viewing from 6:00 to 8:00 on Thursday evening at the ward chapel, or from 12:00 to 1:30 prior to services. Graveside services with military honors accorded by Provo American Legion Post #72, and the Utah Honor Guard will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, March 1, 2014, in the Provo City Cemetery, at 810 South State, Provo, Utah. Services are under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
