Jorgen Lewis Madsen

March 22, 1951 — November 24, 2011

Manti, Utah - Our dear beloved brother Jorgen Lewis Madsen age 60, passed from this earthly world to reunite with his best friend and brother Seth, his parents Spencer Jorgen and Dagney Madsen, and other family members on November 24, 2011. Lewis was born on March 22, 1951. He grew up in Manti, and graduated from Manti High School in 1969. After high school he joined the National Guard where he served for many years. Lewis was a talented and intelligent man. He was skilled at carpentry, was an excellent writer and artist, and had a great sense of humor. He spent many summers in the mountains above Manti with his family, helping his father heard sheep and trap. He enjoyed being in the great outdoors, fishing, hunting, and camping. He will be greatly missed by those who truly knew and loved him. He is survived by his brother Jack Madsen of Hurricane; his sisters: Ireta Faatz of Manti; Barbra Bown of Murray; and Margaret Shand of Salina; four sons, and one daughter. He is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers Seth, and Loy. Lewis’s remains were cremated according to his wishes. Services are pending for next spring when Lew’s ashes will be scattered over the mountains, and the spring time flowers. Services are under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
