Judy Ann Linton

March 25, 1942 β€” May 31, 2020

Las Vegas, Nevada - Judy Ann Linton, 78, passed away on May 31, 2020 in Las Vegas, NV. Judy was born March 25, 1942 in Lynwood, CA to James Lester and Una Brinkerhoff Blackwood. Judy attended Lynwood High School where she loved being a cheerleader. She graduated in 1960, and began her family. Judy was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She loved crafts, knitting, sewing and she especially loved making quilts. A farm girl at heart, gardening was also a passion. Until her health condition made it impossible, Judy was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She absolutely loved her Copper Crest Church family. Her life was a living example of the Bible verse, Ephesians 4:32 β€” β€œAnd be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.” Judy was the unmistakable light in the room. Although Judy has passed, the beauty and charm of her God given selfless love lives on in all those she touched. Judy is survived by her children, David Weeks, Darla (Mark) Szatmari, and Darren (Shannon) Weeks; her grandchildren: Abigail, Brendan, David, Brittani, Christopher, Sean, Dakota, and Waylen; her great-grandchildren: Cadence, Aubrey, Thomas, and Austin; her brother, Roy Leon Blackwood, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her son, Donald Weeks; her husband, Charles; her parents: Les and Una Blackwood; her step-father: Ray Roberts; and her sister, Sharon Blackwood. Eidson Funeral Services will be held at the Church of Jesus-Christ of Latter-day Saints, 6051 Dorrell Lane, Las Vegas, NV on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at 12:00 p.m., and will be accessible via Facebook Live-stream at Judy Linton Funeral Service page.
