Judy Chalk Garmendia

February 22, 1944 — April 18, 2010

Mesa, Arizona - Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, Judith Ann Chalk Garmendia, age 66, died April 18, 2010 in Phoenix, Arizona after a short, but valiant battle with breast cancer. She was born February 22, 1944 in Tooele, Utah, a daughter of Milton Edner and Thelma Lou Case Chalk. She graduated from Provo High School, Class of 1962. She was a member of the LDS Church. Judy was the owner of two hair salons in Utah and Arizona. She did make-up and hair for many different country western music singers in Branson, Missouri. She was very loved by all that met her. Judy enjoyed painting, drawings, sewing costumes and doing crafts. She will be missed. She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie and John Piegzik of Mesa, Arizona; two brothers, Jeff Chalk of Tucson, Arizona and Larry Nelson of Mesa, Arizona; two grandsons, Jeremy Bock and Mason Bock, both of Mesa, Arizona; two nephews and two nieces: Nick and Tracey Chalk of Lesley Missouri; Tammie and Chris Albright of Queen Creek, Arizona; Travis Chalk and Becky Chalk, both of Tucson, Arizona. She was preceded in death by her father, Milton Edner Chalk and her mother, Thelma Case Chalk Nelson Edwards. Graveside services will be held Thursday, April 22, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. in the Monroe City Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
