Salina, Utah - Judith LeeBeth Brooks Fischer, age 76, of Salina, passed in to the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on October 6, 2018 in Richfield, Utah. Judy was born March 8, 1942 in Cleveland, Ohio to Walter Christopher and Kezia Ardela Reed Brooks. She spent her childhood years as an "Army Brat", living in many places, including a memorable year in Japan. Judy was an RN at the VA Hospital in Salt Lake City until she retired, and was passionate about affecting the most positive change in people. She was President of the Salina Lions Club for many years, and was loved dearly by all who knew her. Judy was well known for her spaghetti dinners at the chub, as well as her tireless efforts to promote the Lions Club message. Judy enjoyed spending her free time with her horses, crocheting, coloring in her fancy coloring books, and cooking for her friends and family. Judy leaves as her legacy, 2 children: Christine and Curtis Ingleby of Salt Lake City; Cheri and Darren Harkins of Salina; 3 grandchildren: Kymber Fischer, Christopher and Margie Harkins and Kasey Harkins; and her beloved great-granddaughter, Eisley Bumgardner. She also leaves to cherish her memory, her sister, Melanie and Randy Sharpe of Henderson, Nevada. She also leaves behind numerous step-grandchildren and their families, as well as many children in the community that Judy helped raise. Her children remember her as straight-talking, loving mother and grandmother to all who walked through her doors. Judy was truly the matriarch of her extended family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Kezia Brooks; and her granddaughter, Krystle Fischer-McBride. There will be a Celebration of Life to be announced in the future. The family requests that donations be made to The Lions Club of Salina, in care of Rodney Rasmussen, Treasurer, 496 East Main Street, Salina, Utah 84654. The family would also like to thank the staff at Sevier Valley Hospital for the kindness and excellent care of Judy in her final days. They truly went out of their way to comfort Judy and her family.
