Karen Morrill

Central Valley, Utah – Our kind and beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt, Karen Faye Cox Morrill, age 80, passed away peacefully at her home in Central Valley, surrounded by family. She was born March 13, 1945, in Phoenix, Arizona, a daughter of Walter Valden and Vivian Eaton Cox. She grew up in Southern Utah, enjoying the outdoors and riding horses. She attended schools in Kanab.

On July 9, 1962, she married Jerry Banks in Kanab. To this union were born two children, Lyle and Tauna. Karen and Jerry were later divorced. Karen later married Stanley George Morrill November 27, 1992 in Las Vegas, Nevada, bringing in three more children, Clinton, Ruston and Rachel. Stanley preceded her in death June 4, 2014.

Karen enjoyed horses, dogs, riding in the mountains with friends and her family. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her children: Lyle and Jeanette Banks of Monroe; Tauna and Mike Callister of Taylorsville; Clinton Morrill, Ruston and Misty Morrill, all of Richfield; Rachel and Andrew Hickman of Herriman; 18 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; a brother, Gary and Dorthy Cox of West Point.

She is preceded in death by an infant daughter; her father, Walter Valden Cox; her step-father, Ray S. Bunting; her mother, Vivian Eaton Bunting; her husband, Stanley Goerge Morrill; and siblings: Sherwin Valden Cox and LaJuana Cox Coburn.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, April 5, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. in the Junction Cemetery.

Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Richfield, Friday, April 4, 2025 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.
