Karmalee Beck

Centerfield, Utah - KarmaLee Beck, our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Saturday February 27, 2016. KarmaLee was born August 24, 1927 in Salina, Utah, a daughter of Leland and Muriel Sorensen Bastian, who were later divorced. Muriel then married Josiah Allen Martin, who raised KarmaLee and her brother as his own. KarmaLee married Duane James Beck of Centerfield, Utah on May 23, 1945 in Salina. Their marriage was later solemnized on March 3, 1962 in the Manti LDS Temple. Duane passed away February 24, 1995. KarmaLee had a deep love for all children and she taught primary for 54 years. She made an immense impact on everyone she met. KarmaLee is survived by her son Michael and Doris Beck of Centerfield; two granddaughters: Natalie and Robert Naegle; Celicia and Clint James; and seven great-grandchildren: Kyrah Naegle, Houston Naegle, Kaiden Naegle, Carlyn Naegle, KaraLee James, Kembree James and Kixsten James She is preceded in death by her parents: Leland, Muriel and Allen; two brothers: Richard "Buddy" Bastian and Brent Martin; a sister, Joan Curtis; her husband, Duane Beck; and two children: Kendall Beck and Melanie Beck. Funeral services will be held on Saturday March 5, 2016 at 12:00 Noon in the Centerfield 1st LDS Ward Chapel where friends may call for viewing Friday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. or Saturday morning from 10:00 to 11:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Centerfield City Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
